Bootleg DVD set. Need help.
I bought a DVD set a few days ago and when it arrived there were a number of clear issues that made it easy to spot that it was a bootleg.
I contacted ebay and they said nothing was wrong with the listing. I didn't claim there was.
I spelled out quite clearly that it's a bootleg copy and gave them all of the clues that it's a bootleg.
Yet they closed the claim. I don't feel comfortable contacting the seller because they sold me a bootleg and I feel scammed out of almost $45.
Why do companies have customer service that doesn't address your concerns. They go and talk about something different. Is the goal to frustrate you into giving up?
I tried using the chat bot to reach an agent but it keeps kicking back an error.
How do I get my money back?

Mentor5 months ago@garya Reporting the listing is not going to help you as eBay has no way to determine if the item is real or not and AI reviews most listing reports.
You can however return it for a full refund at the sellers expense. This also goes on the sellers record.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.
Select the return item button on this page:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041&st=
4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
