without the app. not conning me into app. how do I stop all the purchase update and any and all emails from you guys? Id like to pretty much not receive any emails from u guys unless its critical as u flood my inbox

If you have Saved Searches, check to see if you have enabled "email alerts" for each search and stop those if necessary.

Have you unchecked all the boxes on the Communication Preference page? That should work for most messages, though it may not be instantaneous.
If you are still receiving messages from eBay, you may be able to create a filter rule in your mail client so that eBay's messages are sent to a folder rather than your inbox. Then just remember to check the folder periodically for important messages from eBay.
Or else give eBay a different email address so that the messages are not sent to your primary email account.
