Bids not registering
Good morning. I posted an item for sale for $.99. I have 9 bids but the amount hasn't increased. Is it a system issue? Should I cancel and repost? My other items are working fine.

·2 years agoThe 9 bids are all "registered" but eBay hides the full amount of any bid that exceeds the price calculation ("current bid" while the auction is running, which is simply what the price would be if there is no further activity before the end). Each new bid by that bidder is higher than the previous one (by at least 1 cent, as well as having to be at least an increment higher than the "current bid" at the time it is placed). Without a second bidder or a Reserve Price (which at least one of the bids is equal to or greater than) all bids by the lone bidder will display at the Starting Price since there is nothing to make the price any higher.

Mentor2 years agoIf there is only one bidder in a no-reserve auction, the bid amount will be equal to the starting bid amount no matter how many times that one bidder bids. Until there is a second bidder, the amount will not change.
