Why does it say seller not accepting bids or offers from you at checkout, when all I'm trying to do is purchase nine cassette tapes with a debit card no bids or offers are even involved in this transaction

Mentor2 years agoHi @crabm-68 Any buyer can hit a block for any of many reasons. Don't take it personally. Few items are so rare that only one eBay seller has it. Find another seller who will welcome your business. Good luck!

That is the message a buyer receives when a seller has put the buyer’s Username on their Blocked Bidders List.
Have you purchased from the seller before … or made an offer … or asked a question? There could be a number of reasons why a seller might be concerned about a potentially bad experience with a buyer.
I’m very sorry this happened. You’ll have to find another seller to buy from.

·2 years agoA seller can add any user to his/her Blocked Bidder/Buyer List for any reason that s/he doesn't want to do business with that user. Possibility of non-payment is only one issue that a seller might have with a buyer. A buyer who pays can do far more damage to a seller's interests than one who doesn't.
Same with sellers setting Buyer Requirements--the user who doesn't meet the requirement is blocked from Buy It Now as well as bidding or making offers.
