Bidding restriction?
A potential buyer tells me he is unable to bid because he lives in Canada. I participate in eBay's international shipping program, so I don't understand why this might be happening. The item I'm listing is a rather small bicycle part, so there shouldn't be any restriction on shipping that!

You can check your own listings to see what ships where on the Shipping, Returns, and Payments tab (click the Change Country box down arrow to see which countries are included for that listing) of the full website.
I'm not seeing any EIS shipping on any listing of yours. You might want to check the seller requirements in the above linked page.

Sometimes items are blocked that should be allowed due to a keyword. Other times an item is blocked because of price, package size, weight, or category.
I started offering Pirateship.com simple export rate shipping to Canada in addition to EIS. I might start trying it for low cost items to other countries too. You sign up for a free Piratship account and then just have to ask them via chat to add simple export rate to your account.

Mentor2 years ago@chanandlerbonk No clue on this one. It is not on the list of not allowed categories, which eBay says is not a complete list. Since it already has bids there is no way to change the shipping options now.

I checked for similar bike part listings and this listing by another seller DOES allow EIS shipping to Canada and other countries so it's not the category.

Mentor2 years ago@chanandlerbonk You can call eBay but they are not going to be able to change ANYTHING for you on the active listing. Plus general CS knows very little about how the EIS program works, as a seller I know more than they do. LOL
I have helped sellers by suggesting keyword changes in listings for items that SHOULD be allowed but were blocked. Unfortunately there not any keywords that stand out to me in your listings as problematic. Most of your listings would not be allowed due to size.
Your best option for questions about EIS and why items that seem like they should be included are not is to email the EIS team. ebayinternationalshipping@ebay.com
