Bidding on a piano
I contacted a seller of a piano and they sent me their number to see more photos of the piano. They then called me up and said that we need to do the transaction outside of eBay because EBay took their advert down because they were not allowed to send personal details. Can I ask the seller to repost?

First off, you may not realize that though you are registered as being in the U.K. you have posted your question on ebay's U.S. based site's community (ebay.com) You may get better answers by logging into the U.K. site (www.ebay.co.uk) and posting your question on that community.
The seller's listing was probably pulled because they are inexperienced at using the site as a seller. In order for contact information to be shared on ebay legally the listing should have shown For;
Local Collection in the Shipping line. If there was no shipping or collection, option posted that is why ebay pulled the listing. Since you have the seller's contact info, you could try calling them and tell them in order to relist the item on ebay they need to search on line for
" Offering local collection, ebay " then try relisting the item. If ebay will allow them to relist the piano.

·7 months agoHonestly, I would try to find another seller. This one doesn’t appear to know what they’re doing. Them sending you their number without already being in a transaction is a major policy violation. It’s likely that if they repost, ebay will take it down again.
