bidding HOW DO I CHANGE IT SO WHEN I WIN THE BID I CAN PICK IT UP AT STORE???

yet even when i win the bid it just right away went and shipped it to my house .. so upset i paid more in shipping then i did for the idem i bid on.. can anyone inform me ON HOW OR WHEN I CAN SELECT DO NOT SHIP, it says pickup is allowed sooo?????

When you are presented with a screen to confirm your bid/offer when you go to make it, and it has sections on payment and shipping, you set the payment and shipping options THEN because that is what will be charged and where and how it will be delivered. You might get one hour after you win to manually check out (it should say that on the confirmation screen if you do) but don't rely on that (it is mostly useful for using a payment option that is not available for pre-authorization but only at Checkout).

You pre-authorize payment with the settings you put/let stand on the confirmation screen when you click to confirm submission of the bid/offer. This is to cut down on non-payments (and also on scammers preying on sellers). It has been permanent for offers for almost all buyers for almost a year now, and has been in testing for auction bids for over a year.
