Bidding
I was bidding on a makita tool and waited for the last second to place my bid. The bid was at $105 dollars and I bid at $108 dollars. The final outcome was won by $108 by a bidder who bid one hour ago.
I was wondering how that could happen?

The winner place a bid for the most he was willing to pay prior to you placing your bid. eBay used enough of his max bid to keep him in the lead. His max bid was higher than yours.
