I seem to recall that when you are bidding on an item that if you choose to bid AFTER the 15 min previous to the end time then that auction must continue for another 15 minutes. Is this true or d.id I â€œdreamâ€ this???!!!

Never on eBay. Other online auctions did such "auction extensions" and they are no more.

The fixed endtime and second-price auction format are what makes eBay auctions fair to bidders in up to 24 timezones with different schedules. Bid your TRUE maximum the first time, don't put in less than you are willing to pay and then expect to be able to rebid if you are outbid.
