Mentor2 years ago@j289-21 You can NOT accept offers on auctions once bidding has started the Best Offer option is removed.
You need to wish the buyer good luck bidding.
In my experience buyers want to end an auction early for one of two reasons.
#1 They are afraid that the bidding will go higher.
#2 They are going to try and scam you.
If you end an auction early that has bids then you pay final value fees based on the highest bid AND then you will pay fees AGAIN when you sell to the buyer. eBay frowns on ending auctions with bids early as it disappoints your other bidders.

OP2 years agoI am glad you answered me back, I don't want to get on any ones bad side .I messaged the buyer an told them to go ahead an place the bid an I would accept it instead not ending it I don't want extra charges but they haven't made a bid yet besides the other 3. , so if they made the offer at auction I could accept an then every thing would be correct right

Mentor2 years ago@j289-21 You don't "accept bids" on auctions.
IF they are the high bidder ( you can't see the other bidders hidden max bids) then you can end the auction early and sell to the highest bidder. But why would you when you have a lot of people interested and the bidding can go higher.
Most action happens on an auction during the last hour or even minutes. You have a hot auction with lots interest, sit back and enjoy seeing how high the bids will go!

·2 years agoTo be clear, when you "end early to sell to the highest bidder" you are doing so at the "current bid" amount, NOT at the high bidder's HIDDEN maximum or some other amount s/he is promising you. The price is set by the SECOND highest bidder's maximum bid (plus up to 1 bid increment--usually the full increment but if the highest bidder has placed a bid that is less than the full increment over the underbid it is for the lowest bid of the highest bidder that is enough to beat the underbid, including an earlier tie).
So do NOT promise the offeror that you will end the auction early to sell to him at an agreed price if s/he bids that price. IT DOESN"T WORK and you have to break your promise.
