·2 years agoALL bidders' IDs are disguised in some fashion in the same way as the others are in that listing (usually an a***b alias, sometimes "Private listing--bidders' identities protected" or a translation of that phrase where the seller chose to make the listing a "Private" one).
You see your own ID for the same reason you see your own face in a mirror: YOU are the one looking. Only the seller and that particular bidder/buyer (and I assume at least some eBay employees in at least some circumstances) can see the actual ID. Log out and navigate back to an uncached display of that page and you see what others see.

Mentor2 years agoYou can only bid on your eBay ID.
If you are referring to the masked bidder IDs you see on auctions (similar to o***k), your ID is also masked to other bidders and viewers of the auction. Only you and the seller can see your ID in the bidding history.
To see what I mean, log out of eBay, then go to an auction you bid on and take a look at the bidding history.

If memory serves you are allowed to have up to 8 separate accounts ... and they are separate to be sure. They would not share transactions, feedback, etc. nor can they be merged.
Some members Buy on one account and Sell on another account and even post here on a separate account.
