Bid Retraction on an Item I was selling, why it was approved???
My item was listed for $50 and someone bid $51. The then retracted the bid several days later (first time for me) . I thought that bid retraction was only when an amount was put in error (say $00 instead of $20) or the seller changes the description, which I did not. How does this qualify for a bid retraction? TIA.

Retractions do not need to be "approved".
Buyers can retract their bids, and sometimes are not truthful about the reason for doing so. Ebay no longer enforces invalid bid retraction policy.
