·2 years agoNo. A seller can cancel any bid before the auction ends, and may do so for just about any reason (verboten reasons have to do with schemes to evade eBay fees).

Maybe the seller checked the feedback you've given, and didn't want to take a chance on your winning. Just a possibility.
