Bid Question
I am bidding on a vehicle, and am wondering how legitimate it really is?
bidder states will deliver vehicle for $500.00 so it’s my bid plus $500.00
what my main concern is; how do I know this is not a scam and after sending payment scammer just skates away with my funds?

OP2 years agoI try communicating with seller but no response; that’s how it’s been with all correspondence thus far except for legit purchases.

·2 years agoThose responses are NOT opinions, they are FACTS. Never bid on or pay for a vehicle without traveling to the vehicle and confirming it's condition. ONLY bid on vehicles that you have seen, touched and conirmed thier condition before paying for the vehicle.

You do NOT know whether you are dealing with a scammer … which is why you have to visit and test drive the car, have it inspected by a professional mechanic, and verify that the title is clear BEFORE making payment.
Vehicle sales on eBay are NON-BINDING … meaning that buyer or seller can walk away from the deal without penalty.

Don't purchase a car you cannot personally inspect, test drive, perhaps have a mechanic check out, pay for upon pickup, and drive away.
That's how to protect yourself.
