Best offer listings
Why are sellers who choose to sell items as best offer listings not obligated to sell at the best offer received? Buyers who make an offer are obligated to purchase that item. Many of these listings are made by sellers with no intention of accepting any offers which is a waste of my time. I've made many offers on best offer listings only to have the item relisted after it gets no bids at their minimum or the seller declines my offer. Best offer means highest offer not highest offer the seller wants.

No seller would voluntarily agree to sell a valuable item for a dollar if that was the only offer made.
Luckily, that is not how "Best offer" works.
It is not called "Best offer" because the seller is required to take the best offer available; it is called "Best offer" because the buyer is expected to make the buyer's best offer. The seller can take or leave any offer, even the best.
If you think offers are a waste of your time, stop wasting your time making offers.
