best method of shipping policy
new to ebay, after many years, so many variables on shipping, overall what is the best way to go without so many options going at the same time

It really depends on what you are shipping, but generally the least expensive as well as easiest for both seller and buyer is US mail.
Ground advantage is the best service for most items, you might also add priority mail and let your buyers choose. List ground first so that people see that price in search.
Enter the weight and dimensions of each item when you list it and select calculated shipping. Do not let eBay estimate the shipping for you. Be sure to weigh and measure in the box or container you will use for shipping.
