Below Standard Account
My account has been Below Standard for several months and it feels impossible to improve it. I’ve been paying a 20% seller fee and got buried in the algorithm because I didn’t accept a couple returns and eBay had to step in. I have no returns so I thought if I was in the right it wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong but I don’t understand how I can win the case yet still receive a strike. I have 100% feedback and I try and go above and beyond for my customers. This doesn’t help seem to matter. I spoke with an agent and was told to sell more. I don’t have small cheap item nor is my store huge. So it’s not realistic to sell a few hundred items in a short time. The lesson here is just take the hit and do the return even if you’re in the right.

If the buyer states the item is Not as Described/damaged, you need to accept the return and pay for return shipping if you want the item back. If you refuse, ebay can refund the buyer from your funds, you don't get the FVF credited, a defect is recorded on your account, and the buyer gets to keep the item. It is much better to accept returns.
