below standard
hello,
i am fairly new to selling and keep track of my inventory, at the beginning when I started selling my friend and I were posting at the same time, the same item on 2 different platforms. We see now that was not a smart move. However, there were a few things that were sold that were not available that were sold on the other platform thus causing the sale to be cancelled. I found out the hard way that it is an unforgivable sin on ebay to mark out of stock as the reason, but there were a couple of glass items that were purchased and I didn't realize that they were defective until I got them from storage. Thus also causing a cancellation. Is there some other way to cancel a sale? Clearly I must not be doing it correctly. I am now below standard, and ebay has ended and removed 1400 of my items from current inventory. I cannot list anything, or relist any of those items. I have no control of how much i sell monthly, and have missed out on several sales due to the items being ended on my site when they are still available for sale. I am in ebay jail. Any suggestions, anyone? I have a 97% feedback and no other unresolved issues, only the cancels

Unfortunately, since you violated Ebay rules for sellers, there are consequences. Cancelling transactions due to out of stock comes with repercussions as you found out.
When listing items on Ebay, you need to make sure you have the item readily available and it is the condition as it was described.
Per Ebay:
A seller can cancel an order if:
