Below Standard
I have been designated as "below standard" for a few months now. I have gotten a couple of alerts that seem to be threatening my store with closure.
I have been at this quite awhile and sales are not great but I keep trying. I promote my listings and write detailed descriptions of my items. I give feedback & follow-up with my buyers when needed.
I don't know what to do... I have written to Ebay about the issue but got no response (if so, I have not seen it). It affects me psychologically, as I sometimes think "why bother"??
I enjoy selling on Ebay, certainly not for the $$, but for keeping stuff out of landfills, adding to someone's collection and the hunt for items to put on my site. It is also fun for me to do the research, time consuming but very enlightening.
Since I haven't had any sales lately, I am unable to show Ebay monitors how dedicated I am.
Any suggestions??

Mentor2 years ago@jonette55 The only way to dig yourself out of the below standard hole is by selling more.
What I did when I lost TRS because of a mistake I made on shipping is sell old DVD's on penny auctions. Yes I didn't make any money on those sales but it got my account back up. That's some to consider trying.

OP8 months agoHi!
I just saw this. A year and some later... Thanks! I did finally get my store back in good standing and am a bit more organized. I am now packing items up in boxes and labeling them as I list them. Time consuming, yes, but, at least I know exactly how much they weigh , dimensions, etc. I really don't make a big profit after fees etc., but I enjoy selling and keeping items out of landfills...
Thanks again for your advice.
Best,
