Seller trying to pull a scam. This is the 4th one in a week. Got a refund for the 1st one. EBay denied my refund. Because seller sent a tracking number showing it was delivered. I called UPS with tracking number and they were for someone else. EBay said I'm being scammed and need to file a claim with eBay and they see this often. When these scammers don't leave a tracking number to begin with should be a red flag for eBay. The first appeal I have the seller sent me a picture of a package lying in the stones and told me my package was delivered. I told them that's not my house and asked who was the delivery .com. No response. Then later a tracking number came up saying delivered. I called UPS and they said, Scam. Need to report it.

Mentor1 year agoIf tracking shows delivery, but nothing arrives, contact the shipping service to determine if the tracking corresponds to a delivery to your address.
If you can obtain hard copy documentation that the tracking does not correspond to a delivery to your address, contact eBay via social media and explain that you have a case of "false tracking" and you should be given the opportunity to provide your documentation to eBay via direct message. This is different than the usual "item not received" case which is handled automatically and which allows the seller to win by providing tracking that shows delivery.

You can avoid many issues entirely by choosing to only do business with experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering similar items as seen by examining the seller's feedback page, and by avoiding inexperienced sellers, sellers with patterns of negative feedback indicating serious problems, or sellers with large gaps in the selling history or recent drastic changes of seller behavior.

Mentor1 year agoThe bots see that tracking states DELIVERED so you will automatically lose an Item Not Received case.
Take the tracking down to the carrier and have them check their GPS coordinates to see exactly where the package was delivered. Then you upload a copy of that letterhead into an appeal, to get your money back. If not to your address, the carrier should try and retrieve the package.

OP1 year agoWhat happened to me was, and they all did the same thing, they messaged me a picture of a package on a porch or driveway and said your package was delivered. I messaged back telling them this isn't my house and asked who was the carrier. No response to that. Then I'd get tracking showing delivery, again not my house. I called UPS with the tracking number and they verified it wasn't my order. UPS told me these guys are buying tracking numbers and when they post it eBay says your package was delivered. 2 times eBay denied my refund. So when I finally got ahold of a human at eBay I told them all this and to look at the messages I had with these seller's and you can see what they were trying to do. And also when I first responded to the seller I told them I've never had other seller's message a picture of a delivered package. Always I'd get a message saying item sent with a tracking number and carrier. That right there should be a red flag.
