Being flagged as a spammer or scammer?
I've been a regular member eBay, 99% for buying, for probably 30 years and I sometimes leave links for my fellow automotive/Jeep enthusiasts with links to the types of parts they're searching for. The last link I posted says 'Pardon our Interruption' which surprised me. I Googled it and apparently eBay thinks I'm a BOT or similar bad thing. How do I stop this!!???

Mentor6 months agoIf the link is being redirected improperly, this can sometimes cause a redirection loop which may load and reload the same page over and over in a very short period of time. To eBay, this may look like you are using an automated tool to go through eBay's site even though you are not doing anything like that.
Try a different link to reach the same page.
There are other things that can also cause that error message, but if you only encounter it when using certain links, the issue is likely with the link itself.

OP6 months agoThe link works properly, its 'Pardon our Interruption' verbiage just indicates it thinks I might be a BOT.

Mentor6 months agoSomething about your browser, your connection or the link you are using is triggering that message.
Are you blocking JavaScript? Using any script blocker?
Using a VPN or a hotspot?
Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

Mentor6 months agoAre you using any kind of link shortening tool to post your link? If not, perhaps the site you are posting on is altering the link in some way, causing a problem for eBay.

OP6 months agoRead what I said again, I posted a link TO eBay in one of my automotive groups sending them to eBay to find parts someone was looking for. I did NOT post a link to anywhere else anywhere in eBay..

Let me tag a fellow Mentor that knows more about this error message where eBay thinks you are a bot.
