I live in Georgia USA.
My account reflects that as well.
when I try and checkout - I get the message that this item cannot be sold/shipped to international buyers
There are no options to get out of this screen, etc
Consequently can't complete purchase
Any suggestions ?

Are you using a VPN, hotspot or Starlink network? Any of those can prevent eBay from seeing your location and might trigger such a message for certain items.
Try completing that purchase using a different network, such as by using your phone without using your typical WiFi connection.
