My state does not tax collectable coin sakes, but I got taxed by Ebay on a coin purchase.

·3 years agoCheck whether the item is correctly listing is a coin or bullion category and not some collectibles category. eBay uses the category to apply state sales tax. If the seller miscategorized, you can contact customer support to see if they will back out the sales tax.
