Being charged more for shipping after item delivered
I sold a sealed box of legos. i purchased shipping boxes so i know the exact dimensions which were 18x24x4. It was a brand new sealed in the box set. just 1. i received an email after it was delivered from ebay that they would be charging me an additional $8+ because the size and weight was incorrect. they said the weight was 14lbs!? how can i correct this as support seems to be AI and useless.

Mentor3 weeks agoYou need to research Dimensional Weight.
In some cases of large packages with dimensions such as yours, you actually need to add the weight based on the dimensional weight rather than the actual weight.
If the carrier is telling you that it is 14 pounds, that is the dimensional rate because the package is large.
Dimensional weight is used when calculating shipping costs for your package on eBay.
When you use calculated shipping, enter your package's dimensions and weight in the Shipping Calculator to get an accurate shipping charge based on your buyer's location.
For irregularly shaped items, estimate dimensions by measuring the smallest box the item will fit in to provide accurate dimensional weight. Carriers may weigh and measure your package when shipped, and any discrepancies may affect your shipping charges.
