Being asked to pay a $227 Canadian Tariff before delivery
Purchased a $USD 500 camera from a Canadian seller. There was a note that a tariff might be involved. I was OK with a small tariff but after purchase I was notified by UPS Canada that the tariff was $USD 227. I tried to cancel the order but seller said it was mentioned in the listing. The possibility was mentioned but no dollar amount. I refused delivery and want to know what to do next.

Mentor1 week ago@melmag_5107 I understand that this is frustrating, especially with such a large bill.
The seller has no way of calculating the tariffs ahead of time. I do know that Fed Ex and UPS add brokerage fees on TOP of the tariffs. All items shipped to you from other countries will have tariffs that vary and change frequently.
Unfortunately refusing the package VOIDS the eBay Money Back Guarantee and the seller will not be required by eBay to refund you.
