Being able to ask a seller a question about his part
It says contact seller and than it says I can only contact those sellers that I have already bought from, when I need to know the part number listed for a 38 Studebaker tie rod is not listed in my parts catalog for Tie rod so I can cross it over to see if the same tie rods will work on the 1937. It will not allow me to write a message to the seller to ask this quetion. I use to be able to contact seller for item quetions without first buying the item.

Where does it say that, and what does it say, exactly? Copy and paste the text of the message you see.
You should be able to send messages to any user, though as a relatively new user there may be limits on the number of messages you can send in a single day.
If you are having problems typing your message, be sure you are clicking on the "Send message" line to begin typing your message.
