becoming a top-rated seller again?
I'm a 25 yr veteran of eBay and was top-rated for many years until I had to issue a couple of refunds when I couldn't find items in my inventory. Since then I have been back to 'top-rated' on my seller dashboard but that label doesn't attach to my listings and I don't get the associated benefits. I called eBay last week and they said I had to offer a free, 30-day return and 1 day handling. So I laboriously went through all my listings and changed them. I waited a few days and just checked and I still don't have the 'top-rated' badge and none of my listings qualify. What's going on? What do I do next?

Mentor3 years agoYou need to offer one day handling to get the TRS+ seal and the fee discount. The items I looked at had 3 day handling.

OP3 years agoYes I know that but have spent hours in seller hub, account selling preferences and the other nebulous eBay settings to try to apply 1 day handling to all my listings. I need to know how specifically to apply one-day handling rule to all my listings. Is it possible to list a step-wise approach to doing this?

Mentor3 years agoThis is what I did to change handling time to 1-day back when it was required to be a top rated seller:
Using Seller Hub, I went to Manage Active Listings. I clicked the [ ] box in front of Actions to mark all the listings. Then I clicked on the down-arrow next to EDIT and selected Edit all xx listings.
Next I clicked the [ ] box at the top to select all listings. Click on EDIT FIELDS. Click HANDLING TIME. under Edit Handling Time, select CHANGE TO (you can select from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 days). SAVE & CLOSE. Click SUBMIT CHANGES.

Mentor3 years agoHi @olde_stuff
You can change your Handling time in the Bulk Editor. lets walk through a couple so you understand how it works.
-Go to your active list and use the check box on the left for any 5 items (regardless of what their Handling time is)
-Go to the top of the list and click the Edit pull-down menu and select "Edit selected".
-The items will open in the Bulk Editor
-At the top of the list of items check the box so ALL items on the list are checked.
-Above the top of the list is the Bulk edit balloon with a pull-down list and on that list is Handling time, click that
-The next page will let you select your handling time then use the blue Apply button at the bottom of the list and cycle through the completion process ... the final blue button is int he lower right of the Bulk Editor page ...
Depending on how many listings you have you might want to do them in groups ... sometimes trying to do too many bogs the editor down as it goes through the listing updating process.

OP3 years agoThanks for the detailed instructions. I went to your step 5 and there was no choice listed for 'handling time'. Closest was 'Delivery', with subheadings Package Details and Shipping Policy. Picking Shipping policy gives a choice to edit/change. I had already created a shipping policy called 'handling time' set to 1 day so I chose that and clicked apply. It didn't work. Thanks, I will keep trying different things to get my 'top rated' seal back and the discounts.
