Question

Does ebay use Bay Escrow for authentication? The email is coming from ebay@aol.com. I didn’t receive any notification from the app either.seemed off to me

@soniaib84 That sounds like a phishing scam to me unless you received a message from eBay in eBay messages. Messages from eBay will never have a user ID and will address you by your first name.

You can check the resolution center to see if you can update your account there>

https://resolution.ebay.com/rw/IssueResolutionCenter

You will need to contact eBay customer service for assistance from #3

However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.

1. Verify that the name and address on your eBay account matches your checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#. You can not use a PO box for your registration address as seller but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.

2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.

3. Contact Customer service

Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814

Then Type Verify Checking account in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)

Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

On a side note... be sure to ship with signature required on delivery. You also need to pay for extra insurance to cover the shipment.

Also due to the high price of the items your funds will be held for at least 31 days. This is normal for new sellers and all sellers for high priced items.
