Bank Withdrawal for What???
Summary: jleo4310 discovered a withdrawal of over $43 from their bank account by eBay without an apparent reason or notice in their eBay account. fashionsandbeauty4u suggested checking the private email associated with the eBay account for any prior notification and reviewing the Transaction Summary to understand the charge.
I checked my bank account today and found that yesterday eBay withdrew $43.01 from my account.
They day before I had a transaction of +$43.01 in my eBay account as a shipping fee collected from a buyer. The same day I had -$43.01 for buying a shipping label. Then the next day eBay withdrew $43.01 from my linked bank account. Why (and how) would they take money away from me? They collected this amount from a buyer and the shipping label was purchased with it. So I've lost twice now. I bought the shipping label with the collected funds and eBay has also taken it from bank account too.

On the few occasions that eBay has charged my bank account, they have sent me an email to my private email address connected with my eBay account. This comes three days prior to the charge.
I would check that email address for that message. And also check your Transaction Summary to see the reason for the charge.

OPSep 10, 2026 at 3:15 PMThanks. I have checked my emails and only have messages for payouts. None about withdrawals. I have checked my transaction summary also and there are all sorts of individual entries about sales, listed fees, promoted fees, shipping labels, and payouts to my bank. There is no info about a bank withdrawal at all. And the amount that was withdrawn is exactly the same as a positive transaction for a shipping fee collected from a buyer and a negative transaction for purchase of the associated shipping label. But I can't see where I got a payout for this amount!
