Bank or Ebay Balance

Question

If I sell an item on ebay I understand that ebay will deposit the proceeds of the sale into my bank account. In the past I think that ebay would deposit proceeds into my existing ebay balance that they hold in my name. Does ebay still do that or do I have to have the money sent to my bank account?

Choosing the spendable funds option does not preclude you from setting up your checking account with eBay however.
