Bait and Switch
After I purchased an item and after the seller (supposedly) mailed it (5/29/2025), the seller emailed me saying that the item only included half of what was in the ebay ad picture and then asked me if I wanted to purchase the other half. Do I simply try to return it or do I report it another way?

Mentor1 year agoIf the listing shows everything included and not half then when you receive the package open a case for an item not as described. Do not do this ahead of time as there are strict time limits that you could miss.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to open an “item not as described caseâ€. This overrides the sellers return policy. Go to your Purchase History and find the item. Then under “More actions†click on “Return item†and then select the reason for the return as “doesn't match description". It may ask you to attach a photo so the seller and eBay can see what was received. After this time has passed you would have to go to your payment source to see what help they can give.
