bad review by competitor
I sold an item (microscope lens) to a buyer who basically buys and sells microscope lenses on eBay. That's his only eBay presence that I could find anyway. He made a low offer on i, but within an hour he dropped his offer and bought it at full price. "Awesome", I thought. He immediately started messaging me, worried about the condition of the item (was it perfect?). Instead of describing it, I made a close-up, well-lit, high-res video of the lens as I turned it slowly in every conceivable angle. I posted the video on YouTube and sent him the link. I said if he didn't like anything about it I would initiate a refund (even before shipping). He watched it and said it looked great. I sent it to him and he acted like I sent him a piece of junk. Very, very weird. He tried to get me to drop the price by complaining that there were scratches. I kept insisting that he send it back for a full refund. He kept whining and complaining until I threatened to bring in eBay support. Only then did he return it and then gave me a terrible review, calling me a liar multiple times.
The problem is, I don't know how to get Ebay's attention.
I complained about the review and eBay (probably AI) brushed it off and now i have a terrible rating (85%). What can I do?
Ebay won't even look at the video that I sent this guy that showed the EXACT condition of the lens. I think the guy planned on talking me down on the sale price after he received it, but I wasn't having it.
Now I have a sh*t rating? Who ay eBay do I contact to remedy my reputation? I have over 50 items for sale on eBay and now don't look trustworthy because of this guy.

Mentor5 months agoWhat you can do is to make purchases from high volume sellers that leave positive feedback automatically. That will help raise your 85.7% feedback.
