Bad Character - Made an offer on a item I am selling and did not make payment
I have items for sale - Offer was made from the same person and now waiting on payment again - This is supposed to be paid for when an offer is made and I accept - Am I correct and how do I get in touch with an ebay agent ?

Mentor5 months agoIf you opt into autopay, when a buyer makes an offer, s/he is asked to submit a method of payment, so if the seller accepts, that payment method is charged within an hour. I opted out of autopay, because I want to encourage buyers to make multiple purchases so I can give them a discount for combined shipping.
Without autopay enabled, anyone can then come along and make an outright purchase. Whoever pays first gets the item.

OP4 months agodisneyshopper - Number 1 - I am not tied into EBAY and do not pretend to know my way around their website. But I wanted to sell some items that have to be cleared out of my garage before I move. The one item I am offering ( bundle of audio gear ) was listed and a buyer jacji0 made an offer and I accepted. It gave him for lack of a better explanation so many days to make a payment. When I accepted his offer his payment went into pending. April 9th was the last day for when the offer was made. He did not make the payment. OK - we move on, right? Well I wanted the audio gear moved out of my garage so I lowered the price offer and re-listed the bundle. This same person jacji0 now bids on this re-listing item for the lower price and again his payment goes into pending with a shorter time period for me to wait. I did not opt out of anything or did not realize how things work with ebay. But I know that it is not healthy for EBAY to have someone bidding on items and not paying for them after they have made an offer and it is accepted and they don't pay. Get rid of folks that mess up a good system. I sold 4 other items like clock work. Listed - Offer made - I accepted offer and payment was made and shipping labels were email with a confirmation. That is how I understand it to work. Tell me if I am wrong in my approach to EBAY - Plus I can not get EBAY to respond to my request for help.
