Bad Buyer, Unfair Defects and Unfair Ebay Practices
On June 16th I received a offer on
Buyer is responsible for arrangement and all costs of pick up and freight shipping and any other fee associated with freight.
250 lbs.
Height 66" 3/4" with wheels
Width 22" 3/4"
Depth 33" 1/4" with handle
I listed this item with a agent on the phone who held my hand through the process, told me what shipping option to choose and verbally approved of my instruction on the buyer being responsible for shipping.
During the offer process this was made clear to the buyer who sent another offer and I accepted. Buyer requested a invoice. Again I have a ebay agent on the phone to guide me through the invoice steps and to help post clear instructions on the shipping responsibilities of the buyer in the message on the invoice as well as my address.
Few days go by and I message the buyer that I have not received and freight company information.....No response.
A week and a half later the buyer abuses the report system and reports the item has not been received. Then messages me stating a ebay rep said I had to ship the item for free.
I contact ebay AGAIN. Spoke with Shawn who assured me my description had me covered that the buyer was responsible for shipping and transfers me to Cy (Pronounced Sigh) who now hears the story and assures me I covered myself in the description and that because the buyer reported me I had to wait until the 4th before ebay could step in. I was asked how I wanted to resolve this matter.... I said the buyer wants the product I would like them to simply hold to the agreement and arrange shipping. The buyer never requested a refund.
On the 4th ebay refunded the buyer stating I had not provided a tracking number! I appeal and Lose ... to which ebay states I could not work things out with the buyer when the buyer received all information to get the item. And I have a defect that cannot be appealed because the item does not even show up in the appeal window.
I have been on Ebay 25 years. I am a seasoned seller. I really thought I would have more support than this and that ebay would at least have the courtesy to read the interactions between myself and the buyer or the bare minimum of reading my listing description to see this buyer was in the wrong and not just go along with ITEM NOT RECEIVED.
Thank you for taking the time to read this
A Very Unhappy Lisa
