I'm sorry this happened. Not all eBay sellers are 'businesses'. Some are just ordinary people who make mistakes.
You're not required to request a cancellation if you don't wish to ... but that doesn't mean you'll be able to get a $404.78 watch for $20. eBay has no way of forcing sellers to honor mistakes.

So you don't think offering a$400 watch for $20 bucks was a 'mistake'. You think it was a deliberate bad business decision just to make you mad?

OP3 years agoIm not lasting out at anyone I’m just being realistic and no I don’t think it’s just me more than likely they’ve done to other people and no I don’t think it’s a mistake you will never go into a jewelry store and they mistakenly lowball themselves it’s just not going to happen bud

Don't waste your time contacting Ebay. They will not be able to force the seller to sell you a $400 watch for $20.
As stated, you are not obligated to request the cancellation of your order. The seller can cancel the order.

I've read several posts today from eBay sellers who had attempted to send buyers a 20%-off offer ... which turned into a $20 offer. I have no way of knowing whether it was an eBay glitch or a seller mistake ... but it obviously wasn't deliberate.
But feel free to believe what you wish and do what you want. I'm neither eBay nor a seller ... so have no dog in this fight. Have a good day.

The seller needs to cancel the order, not you since the "glitch" is on their end.
They are trying to get you to cancel in order to avoid getting a defect on their account.
