avoiding buyers from downloading my photos I'm selling

Question

I recently listed several historical photos on Facebook in high resolution. I received OVER 4000 views and not one sale. I assume people were simply downloading them. I have noticed some ebay sellers place "sample" or "do not copy" over their listings. These apparently do not affect the quality of the listing image. Where do they obtain these? Thanks
