Automating Shipping Costs Based Off Multiple Units per Customer Order
I sell sports cards and my current pricing policy is based off a scenario where a customer purchases one card. In some instances, a single customer will purchase more than one card and the shipping cost/card is simply multiplied by the number of cards they purchase. Once they purchase more than two cards my shipping costs/card exceed what the customer pays-I prefer to pass along all shipping costs to the customer and do not intend to make a profit off shipping costs. Since I sell mostly low value cards this has a significant effect on my margins.
How can I automate customer shipping costs so that once a purchase exceeds 2 cards the customer is automatically charged the amount is takes to safely deliver their cards to them? Also, I'll take any tips on how to update the verbiage on my shipping policy so that this is clearly stated, to the customer, at time of purchase (tiered shipping costs based off total amount of cards purchased)?
Thanks for your help!

OP1 year agoI think I'm over thinking this. I just need to purchase 4 labels (i.e. price I quote to ship one card) and ship each card separately.
I will still take suggestions:)
