Since when did EBay start processing payments immediately and why are they charging more than they should be for tax? My local tax is 9.75. They are charging me over 13%! 🤬

Recently for some accounts. Offers first, and now auctions as well for some. eBay is still in the testing phase, apparently.

What is your zip code? Are you using the full zip+4 if there are multiple rates in your zone? Depending on your location, there may be additional local or county taxes, or the sales tax may apply to the shipping amount as well in certain instances. For some categories there may be additional fees included in the sales tax line item -- recycling or disposal fees for tires, mattresses, batteries or appliances in some locations.
