Automatic Payment When Offer Is Accepted
Maybe this has been discussed before.
But if I make an offer on an item that is accepted by the seller, that results in immediate payment.
The problem is if I want to make additional offers on additional items from the same seller that are also accepted, that results in separate payments.
This means I have to record multiple payments and my overpayment of shipping needs to be calculated and refunded by the seller to me.
Is there anything that can be done to return to the practice of consolidating multiple purchases into a single payment with combined shipping? Is there something I can do in my profile on my end?

Mentor2 years ago@taul166 This is a setting a seller can turn off in THEIR account settings if they wish to under Buyer Requirements.
Some sellers do not even know that this option is turned on by default and they have to turn it off if they don't want to use it.
eBay added this option due to the high number of unpaid items on Best Offers site wide, it's not aimed at you.

OP2 years agoThank you. I understand the benefit. Not so much a problem when a couple of items involved. But, for say 10 items it becomes unwieldy. I assume you are right when you say a lot of sellers don't know they can turn the function off, should they want to avoid what they may feel is a hassle on their side.

Mentor2 years ago@taul166. I totally understand the drawback from the buyers side which is why I don't have the option turned on.
You can try asking sellers if they offer combined shipping before making a purchase and if they are aware of the setting that makes combining orders more work.
