Automatic payment on bid auction
Since when did ebay automatically pay for bid auctions? I have always been able to combine shipping with vendors and buyers after a series of bid auctions, but last night Ebay decided to automatically pay on my behalf. When did this start and how do I turn it off?

·1 month agoThis has been happening for quite awhile. It’s eBay’s solution to all the buyers who bid or make offers and never pay. So, you have those buyers to blame for this situation.
You can’t change it. It’s only the seller who can turn it on or off. If it’s a seller who has been burned by a lot of non paying buyers, they’re unlikely to be willing to turn it off.

eBay began allowing sellers to require a payment method in advance for auctions or offers over a year ago, but not every seller requires it.
