Automatic payment
I have been buying on ebay for many years now, and this automatic payment is a bunch of **bleep**, I have always paid, but sometimes the account I use may not have enough money in it when an item comes to an end, which I would then just notify the seller that I would pay and go to the bank and put the money in the account. I didn't like this when they put it on the offer and I don't like it now, and already it cost one seller money because without warning ebay did this to me and the bid came due and I didn't have enough money in the account. People who wouldn't pay anyway will still not pay, but why should those of us who do pay, pay for thier lack of decency. Sellers you will loose money, one of you already has.

Mentor2 years agoFormer non-payers WILL provide their payment information or they won't be able to bid or make an offer.
Sellers who have been burned the the past will list more auctions and make more offers because they know that now they will be paid. The non-payers will not be able to disrupt these listings anymore.
The new process doesn't bother me at all. I save a step by not having to come back and pay later, the seller will be able to ship sooner, I'll get my item sooner. It's a win win for everyone (except non-payers).
