automatic filter applied in my search
Hi there. Recently, an "automatic filter" has been applied to my searches. I buy plus sized clothes, so when I search "skirt 4x", what eBay does is apply a "maternity" filter to my search. I have never searched for or purchased "maternity" on ebay. It does not so this to my search for "skirt xl". This limits my results down to one item usually. I have to remove the filter with EVERY new search. Are they trolling? Why is maternity being applied against my wishes? Can I remove it? Thank you.

I have seen similar complaints, so you are not alone. Possibly a problem with certain keywords is triggering the filter option by mistake.
Try creating a new search putting one of your keywords in quotes, like this:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/63864/i.html?_nkw=skirt+%224x%22&_oaa=1&_dcat=63864
You may have to set the category and drop the "maternity" filter option manually as well when searching women's categories. Bookmark or save the new search.
Report the issue to eBay using the "?" / "Feedback" / "Comments" link on the search results page if you are using a desktop browser.
