Automatic bid blocked by seller
I bid on an itema using a sniping service. My bid was higher than the winning bid. The explanation was that my bid was blocked by the seller since they did not ship internationally. That is not true. Every item that the seller has up for auction clearly states they will ship to Canada using the International shipping option and shows what the amount would be to ship. Why was my bid blocked? I had ahg maximum amount $100 higher than the winning bid.

eBay might block purchase of an item if its bots suspect there is an import/export restriction on it between the two countries, regardless of what the shipping terms in the listing say.
Did the "every item" that ships to Canada include THIS PARTICULAR item? Or did you mean "every [other] item"? Where the seller is using eBay International Shipping not all items or categories qualify for it so a seller might have 99 items that ship to your country but 1 that doesn't because of an exclusion in the EIS program.

Mentor2 years agoIs it possible you have 2 or more unpaid transactions? Sellers can block buyers with 2 or more unpaid transaction from bidding/buying their items. That block will last for 12 months.
