Automatic 1 hour paymnet
I just won an auction. It came up and stated it will autopay in 1 Hour. I do not want to pay now as I have other items that I am bidding on. I have already established combined shipping with the selller. HOW DO I TURN OFF THIS Autopay thing? I hate it!

You should have seen a pop up before placing a bid asking you for your preferred payment method. If you see that pop up before bidding then you know that the seller requires immediate payment at close of auction.
Some sellers do not realize that eBay turns on the option to require a payment prior to making a bid or offer by default.
Sellers can uncheck the option in their account settings.
You could ask sellers prior to bidding if A ) they allow combined shipping and B) do they know if they have the payments required option before placing a bid auto checked by eBay as this makes combined shipping more difficult.
Sellers can still combine by refunding the difference but eBay can't force a seller to send a partial refund after a order is made. Most sellers will make a partial refund.

OP5 months agoThank You for the fast response!
I have found this payment thing inconsistent; however, I have been using my PC and my phone for bids and buy it now purchases. This last incident I was on my phone, in a hurry to find the listing, place a bid and watch where it went in the last 2 minutes... I certainly could have missed a pop up on the iPhone app. I was not looking for it nor did I see it. Probably as you suggested is what happened, I missed it. However, once you are in that 1-hour payment scenario, you have no way out that I found. 2 things I don't like, (sorry I'm venting) it should not default to pay in 1 hour unless I explicitly ask for it and then, have no way to undo it. Anyway, thanks for your response. I have dealt with the seller many times in the past, he will fix it on his end. But he should not have to. And if there are cranky sellers out there, they don't have to adjust anything due to what looks like my error. I will be more careful next time and maybe complain to eBay.

If you say yes, you won't have to pay within 1 hour of winning an auction. You will get 7 days to pay.
