Auto-bidding
I was trying to bid when I found someone using the auto bid feature. I found their max and tried to beat it but it was too much for me. Yet when I retracted my bid, theirs also went down. If I'm unable to beat if, if its within the limit of that bidder. Why doesn't their bid stay if I retract my high big?

The high bidder only pays up to one bid increment above the next highest bidder's maximum, which went down when you retracted your high bid.
Bidders are only supposed to retract bids for certain specific reasons like accidentally bidding the wrong amount, at which point they are supposed to bid the correct amount. Bid retractions are not meant to be used for revealing another bidder's high bid. Many sellers will block bidders if they notice that the bidder has a history of retracting bids.
