Authenticity Guaranty
In considering whether to buy a pricey watch, how does eBay’s money-back guaranty differ from the Authenticity Guaranty? If I discover after purchasing the watch that it isn’t a genuine article, am I covered by the money-back guaranty?

·2 years agoWith eBay's Money back guarantee, if you can have the watch inspected by a reputable service within 30 days of receipt, you can open a return for "not as described" if it is found to be fake. Many buyers don't get around to checking until it is too late, so timing is what matters.

The Authenticity Guarantee offers the service up front, so those who don't have access to a service can rely on eBay's opinion.
For watches priced $2,000 or more, eBay will cover the cost of the Authenticity Guarantee service for buyers and sellers.
For watches priced $500-$1,999.99, the cost to add the Authenticity Guarantee service on qualifying items is $80 plus applicable taxes, paid for by the buyer at checkout per item.
