Authenticity Guarantee items

Question

Why do items that have already been to companies such as PSA or Beckett have to go the be authenticated again? Also, items that have been authenticated by card companies such as Leaf and Topps. All it does is extend the amount of time the buyer receives the item. The USPS is slow enough without having to wait a couple of days for it to be authenticated again.

@*andsoitgoes* I understand your frustration of having to wait to have an already graded item authenticated.

There are bad actors who make counterfeit graded items. So while that is rare the rule applies to all items that qualify for the eBay Authenticity Guaranteed Program.
