If your item qualifies, eBay will add the authenticity guarantee. It is not optional.

OP2 years agomany thanks- i see the certification is triggered, and by setting a certain price for it, not by it’s status as a luxury designer item.

Yes, there are minimums, but in most categories it is price and brand.
