Authentic vs Duped

Question

I’ve recently been interested in purchasing a few David Yurman pieces via resale and noticed that some listings include authenticity wording by eBay, while others don’t. Am I to assume that if it doesn’t include this wording by eBay (not the seller), the piece is a dupe (i.e. a fake)?

@nic_nsp_kk8wutj The Authenticity guarantee is offered by eBay on jewelry that meets the criteria AND has a starting or sale price of at least $500.

A seller can not opt in or out of the program. Be sure to look for the eBay Money Back Guarantee on the listing. For items that sell for less than $500 If the item is not authentic you can return it within 30 days of the date of delivery.

To be eligible for Authenticity Guarantee jewelry must be:

from one of the following brands (Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chaumet, Chopard, David Yurman, Effy, Gucci, Harry Winston, Hearts on Fire, Hermes, H.Stern, Ippolita, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Konstantino, Lagos, LeVian, Louis Vuitton, Marco Bicego, Mastoloni, Mikimoto, Pomellato, Scott Kay, Simon G., Roberto Coin, Tacori, Tiffany & Co, Van Cleef & Arpels, Vera Wang, Verragio) or unbranded (no attributable designer, brand, or logo)
loose diamonds $500+ listed in the Loose Diamonds category
listed at $500 or more, or sold in an auction for $500 or more
- If the Buy It Now price is $500 or more but you sell for a best offer or auction price of less than $500, it will still be eligible for authentication
listed in any Jewelry category except: Loose Gemstones, Jewelry Care, Mixed Lots, Loose Beads or Watches (watches may be eligible for Authenticity Guaranteed for Watches)
contain at least one component from each of the following criteria:
- A fine metal: Sterling silver (925+), gold (10K+), palladium (500+) or platinum (850+)
  - For plated metal, base metal composition must be fine as listed above
- For items that include gemstones, all precious stones are eligible, with the exception of the following:
