You don’t respond to bids - the auction process is automatic. The auction will close at the stated ending time, the high bidder wins the item.
If you receive an offer on a buy it now item, you should receive a message from eBay. They sometimes go into your junk mail, so it is best to check on your items at least once a day. You should see the offer in messages, and in notifications.
